Hey Phusers,
Happy summer! Here’s what we’ve been working on, and a few updates from the team.
What's new at The Phuse?
We rebuilt PAM in node.js! It now updates the hours worked on the fly, and the whole team can tell who is currently kickin’ butt and takin’ names.
We kicked off 2 big internal app projects, huge undertakings that we will be working on in our spare time, and especially during hack days. One of the apps will improve our client’s experience working with us, and the other one will improve our team’s experience working with each other.
We are trying to be more diligent about scheduling hack days in advance, every 2-3 weeks. From now on, we’ll be sending out heads up emails a week prior to a hack day taking place, to any clients with active projects. The first one is taking place this Friday, June 7th (the heads up email went out on May 31st. If we missed you, let us know!)
Team Updates
On May 27, Tessa taught girls how to make games in a Girls Learning Code workshop. The Ladies Learning Code (for adults) is on June 9th!
Nathan is working from the road for a week, while visiting family in Oman.
Matt is working from the road for a week, while visiting friends in Charleston, SC and Asheville, NC.
James is attending a conference on Wednesday, June 5th.
Happy summer, everyone! Try to get outside and away from your monitor while the gettin’s good.
All the best from your friends
